South Sudan: End Widespread Child Marriage

In South Sudan there was the costume to obligate girls to get marry with men. This costume violates the right of girls to marry only when they are able and willing to give their free consent and for that, the government of South Sudan is trying to help their. Human Rights Watch said it on the eve of International Womens' Day.
In South Sudan, the 48% of girls are married (girls between 15 and 19 years old).
In another report, journalists interviewed 87 girls that they were married and they said that they were obligated to get marry with an old man. The report recommends that the minimum of age to get marry is 18 years old.
Child marriages ends with the girls' education, increases their risk of abuse and their health.
According with the government of South Sudan, in 2011 only 39% of primary students and 30% of secundary students are girls.
