New York baby delivered after car crash kills parents

Nachman and Raizy Glauber were travelling in a taxi in Brooklyn when it was involved in a collision with another car close to their home.

They were delivered dead in the hospital but their premature baby was delivered alive.

Police are seeking the driver of the other car, who fled the scene on foot.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and police are looking for the driver and a passenger in the other car, who fled the scene.

Harlem Shake On Plane Prompts Investigation

A group of students performed the "Harlem Shake"- the famous dance on a plane during their trip from Colorado Springs to San Diego. They made a video of the performance and uplaoded i¡t on to the internet. 
The video starts with one person dancing and then the video cuts to a large group of people dancing. The people dancing include a man dressed in a banana outfit and another wearing an Abraham Lincoln mask.. The other passengers are dancing too.
Now Federal Aviation Administration are investigating to find out on which plane the performance was done. Frontier Airlines said that the saety measures were followed and the seatbelt sign was off.

Dog "saved life" of missing Polish girl

Julia, a Polish child, vanished on Friday and was found lying in marshes on Saturday with the dog by her side.

Now, she is in the hospital because those night there was temperatures under -5ºC. Firefighter Grzegorz Szymanski said that the dog kept the child warm enough to live.

More than 200 people had searched Julia during the night. They think that she was walked through the forest in the village of Pierzwin.

Finally, she was discovered by the firefighters.

Study of ADHD

Hello, as you know, my name is Marina Bordas and my research project is about the study of ADHD.
I decided to do my project about ADHD because I would like to study psychology at University, and it is a disorder that is increasingly diagnosed in children and some years ago it was diagnosed for my sister.
This disorder is quite complex, because many people think that it's invented.

Attention deficit – hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common source
neurobiological that begins in childhood between 7-9 years old, and is characterized by
presence of attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity and impulsivity.

Impulsivity is characterized by a lack of self-control or inability to inhibit behavior.
Hyperactivity is characterized by frequent movement of hands and feet.

There is no definite cause for 100% ADHD. Not all children have the same symptoms and the symptoms can vary according to age, so may cause problems about diagnosis and treatment. The treatment of ADHD is multimodal, that is, involves more than one professional doctor,teachers, parents and the patient. And medicines are dangerous, as there are many side effects.

Doing the project I learnt that there are many people who don't know what ADHD is and I think that it should be reported because, as I mentioned before, there are more people with the disorder and, from the point of view of education, I think that teachers should adapt exams and follow the protocol that has been established so that students can continue in classes , with good conditions and they are more motivated to get better marks.

Júlia, my little sister

Júlia, my little sister, is 15. People say us that she looks like me but I don't think this. She has got brown eyes and short curly brown hair, while my eyes are clearer and my hair is golden.

She is quite tall and she has got a beautiful slim figure. She is more pretty and she likes to look beautiful every day.

Júlia, nowdays, is studying 3^rd ESO in IES Castelló d'Empúries.

She loves go shopping, meet her friends and, in summer, she loves go to the beach.

Júlia is a very extroverted person and she always looks happy and nice with everybody but sometimes she is very edge.

She sings and acts very well but sometimes she is shy and just makes it in home.

I admire her because she always has a smile on her face and when she is sad too.

Queen in hospital with stomach bug

The Queen is in hospital because she has gastroenteritis, an infection that causes inflammation of the stomach lining and the intestines and the symptoms can include vomiting, fever and stomach ache.

She has to stay in hospital for two days under observation and this has caused the cancellation and postponing of all her official engagements for this week, including the Queen´s trip to Rome.

News of her illness emerged on Saturday, when she was forced to cancel a trip to Swansea.

Oscar Pistorius case: Top detective brought it

On St. Valentine's day, Mr. Pistorius (26) denied murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp (29).

Ms. Steenkamp died after being shot three times at Mr. Pistorius' home.

Mr. Pistorius has a history of being violent. He is famous for his participation in the paraolympics the last year in London.

At the moment Mr. Pistorius is asking for bail but the prosecution do not want him to have bail just because he is famous. He is dangerous.

In my opinion I agree with the prosecution because if he killed someone he has to stay in the prision.

Lance Armstrong confesses that he's taken drugs

Lance Armstrong confessed an Oprah Winfrey's programme that he was taking drugs to be the best cyclist on lots of ocasions, for example, the Tour of France (He won this seven times).

Lance Armstrong told Oprah that he had blood transfusions just before a race, so that he had more oxygen in his body.

He said that he stopped taking drugs in 2005 Tour of France victory and he didn't use drugs when he won the third position in 2009.

He recognized that he created a mythic perfect story but it wasn't true. He said his amazing story of overcoming testicular cancer also was not true.

In my opinion I think that he was a fake, I think that it's terrible to take drugs to become the best athlete because it isn't right for the others because they have got a lot of preparation and they don't win.

CARNIVAL 2013

This year my friends and I dressed up as bees.

On Friday, February 8, we stayed at the home of Sara to dress up and prepare ourselves and when we finished we went to Roses. When we finished we were at the port where there were all the floats. Later Gianluca called me and I went with him to the pavilion where there was a mobile disco.

On Saturday, February 9 in the afternoon we went to Roses longer and we stayed there until the night, when we went to the pavilion mobile disco. We had a great time!

On Sunday 10 February, Sara, Odei, Elsa and I went to Roses in the morning. Once carnival finished we were dancing where there were all the floats. Once the floats left, we went to a cafe and then we went for dinner at Pans. When I finished I went for dinner with my sister and some friends and we went to the mobile disco in the pavilion.

On Friday 15 February the carnival began in Empuriabrava. My friends and I went to get ready in Sara's house and once we were ready we went to Empuriabrava. Once we had done the carnival route, we went to mobile disco that was in the Sala Polivalent in Castelló.

On Saturday 16 February carnival was in Castelló. Once carnival finished we went to the mobile disco in the Sala Polivalent and when it finished, the girls went to sleep at the home of Sara.

On Sunday February 17 we wanted to go to the last morning but we were tired and we didn't go to Empuriabrava.

This year has been the best Carnival and I want it to be Carnival 2014!

FACEBOOK GOSSIP PAGE

There are a lot of Gossip pages that only created to criticise people.

The idea was started in Universities. People that fell in love with somebody sent a message to the inbox on the gossip page and the person that created the page posted the message on the page. It was totally anonymous.

I think that this idea was good to meet new people and to get more friends. However, now there are a lot of gossip pages in towns, cities, etc. and a lot of people send messages to criticise somebody or to insult.

I think that facebook gossip pages have to close because they only produce problems with people. The original idea was innocent and helpful, today the gossip pages are cruel and make a lot of trouble.

NEW YEAR 2013

On the 31st of December people celebrate the end of a year and at 12 pm, celebrate the new year.

This year I had dinner in my house with my family, mi sister's best friend and with my boyfriend. After we had eaten the grapes, I went to get ready and after I went to Roses with my boyfriend to celebrate the New Year with my friends and his friends.

We went to Chic, a disco in Roses, and we had a really good time. There were a lot of people, but it was good.

At 7 o'clock I went with my boyfriend and his friends to St. Pau (a cafe in Roses) for breakfast and finally I went to my house to sleep. 

This was a perfect New Year!
